Here's some information about the Fullers GreatSights vessels in our fleet.

Dolphin Seeker Hole in the Rock vessel

Dolphin Seeker

Used on: Hole in the Rock Dolphin Cruise

Our purpose-built Dolphin Seeker catamaran is licensed by DOC (the Department of Conservation) for dolphin viewing and our talented crew have years of experience navigating it through the Hole in the Rock and around the Bay. Dolphin Seeker has the largest viewing decks in the Bay of Islands and there are many to choose from including one at the very bow of the boat, unobstructed views on the upper deck and an expansive viewing platform on the middle deck.

Te Papahu provides an intimate Hole in the Rock experience for a smaller group of passengers. The large upper viewing deck offers some of the best views in the Bay and a great vantage point for spotting wildlife.

The latest addition to our fleet is our specially designed vessel Te Maki (meaning ‘orca’). With lots of space for passengers, Te Maki features outdoor seating, an indoor saloon/cabin and main saloon windows that start below the seat level and extend almost to the ceiling, offering amazing visibility

One of the coolest boats in our fleet, the Island Adventurer is an inflatable Naiad capable of zipping around islands and bays, getting up close to cliffs, caves and rocks and landing on the beach. The rollup side windows provide great visibility and there’s enough space inside to enjoy a comfortable, speedy adventure around the Bay of Islands.

Fullers GreatSights Cape Reinga Coach

Our Cape Reinga day tour coaches are purpose-built for driving on Ninety Mile Beach and sit much higher than regular coaches, with good height clearance for driving in the stream and along the beach. We’re able to easily access underneath the coaches so they can be hosed off and thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day. Our newer coaches are fixed with an external front facing camera that live streams onto an internal TV, giving passengers a view of the driver’s perspective. Although our coaches aren’t equipped with toilets, we do stop regularly throughout the day for toilet breaks.

We take a smaller number of passengers on our Giants and Glowworms day tour providing an intimate and engaging experience. Our vans are fitted with a PA system so passengers can enjoy the driver’s entertaining and informative commentary along the way.

Russell Mini tours are operated by a third party in small tour vans. The drivers provide a warm and entertaining commentary and take you to places that aren’t easily reached by foot.
